Heavy demand and limited supply forced OEMs to cut off ordering early or extend production. While there will still be challenges this year, and we continue to recover from the COVID era loss of 3.6 million new vehicles, the good news is that this year’s production is expected to be up by about 5-10 percent throughout the industry.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) Annual “International Roadcheck” will be taking place May 16th – May 18th which means commercial fleet vehicles are subject to random inspections. This year, the focus is on anti-lock braking systems (i.e., ABS) and cargo securement. Inspections will take place at weigh stations and random roadside stops including international boundaries between Canada, USA, and Mexico.
