After achieving one of the many steps, electrifying their commuter buses, the company was able to eliminate an estimated 1,800 tons (nearly 4 million pounds) of CO2 greenhouse gases each year. Assessment of the first 21 buses, (now grown to 71) indicates their efficiency is equivalent to the planting of more than 83,000 trees—a total that, like those trees, will only keep growing.
