Mary Formosa serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Wheels, leading the comprehensive human resources function which includes HR strategy, employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, organizational design and effectiveness, compensation, benefits, HR information systems, internal communications, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. In her career, she has demonstrated leadership at both the corporate and operating level.
Currently, Mary is instrumental in shaping and executing the HR strategies that drive employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Her leadership fosters a culture of inclusivity and continuous improvement, aligning HR initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.
Before joining Wheels, Mary served as the Vice President of Global Truck, Engine, and Parts at Navistar, overseeing international business units and several U.S. manufacturing facilities. She also held the role of Vice President of Shared Services at Navistar, where she managed key HR functions. Prior to her tenure at Navistar, Mary served in several leadership roles at Tribune Company, with responsibilities spanning broadcasting stations and publishing companies.
Mary received a BA in Human Resources Management from DePaul University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, Chicago CHRO Community, board member of Empowering Women Network and former board member for the National Latino Education Institute. She is also active with the Employee Communications, Engagement and Experience LinkedIn group.
